Many of us will want to donate to the survivors of last weekend’s deadly floods and severe weather. As recovery progresses, information will be shared about how to give through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. For now, if you wish to help our struggling neighbors in Kentucky, here is how to give: Make your check to Kentucky State Treasurer. In the memo line note the donation is for the “TeamKentucky Storm Relief Fund.” Send check to Public Protection Cabinet, 500 Mero St., 218 NC, Frankfort, KY 40601.
The Session will meet on April 14 at 6:00 p.m.
Typically received during the season of Lent, each gift to One Great Hour of Sharing supports efforts to relieve hunger through the Presbyterian Hunger Program, promote development through the Presbyterian Committee on the Self-Development of People, and assist in areas of disaster through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. This ecumenical offering started on Easter Sunday 1949. It was an effort to help people trying to recover from the destruction of World War ll. We will receive this offering on Easter Sunday, April 20.
On April 28 at 2:30, Pastor Sam will begin a study about the beliefs and practices of several Christian denominations. You won’t need a book but attendees will be using a detailed pamphlet titled Christian Denominations from Rose Publishing. Let Pastor Sam know if you want one.
